Making Desks for Conference!

It's always nice to have something to "take notes on" for conference. We found these cute desks at Michaels and some of the kids came over to decorate them. I was a bit nervous about "paint pens" in the hands of wee ones....but they were AWESOME! The kids decorated to their hearts content... and as you will see....there was a bit of a BYU theme going on. Great job kids! Can't wait to use them on Sunday! Hunter and Bennie and Jaxson...we will make yours next week when I come up! Start thinking of some fun ideas!

Look Mom ... No Training Wheels!

Trey kept begging his mom to take off the training wheels on his bike.. He was sure he could do it without them! Jenny kept telling him that it is really hard... but he persisted and so she took them off... and he took off down the road. He is just barely 4 years old! They put the bike in the car to bring it over to show us! Wow Trey! Great Job!!

Lunch with Sue and Ted

Sue and Ted Williams came up from Arizona for conference and we got together for lunch! It was so fun to see them and have a good visit. Sue was a good friend growing up in Denver and then came up to Ricks with me. We had lots of great times and she ended up becoming my sister in law. She and my brother had 5 beautiful kids and then their marriage ended. She has since married Ted Williams and he is really an awesome guy. They live in Arizona and have 13 kids and 35 grandkids between them! Sue seems really happy and looks great! We have a lot of history together and even though we don't see or talk to each other as often as we should...it seems like we can always pick up where we left off. The memories I have of high school andRicks College with her are awesome. We have been though a lot through the years and I love her so much! Her kids are so great too! Sunny her oldest daughter came to lunch with us... It is always great to see them!

Here we are at Los Hermanos. Sue's sister Cece is on the right and Sue is in the pink. Ted is behind her and Sunny is the blond on the left next to Jenny.

Two "Old Buddies"... I love you Sue!

Pictures done...Let's Eat!

It's always fun to get everyone together and go out to dinner! We all gathered at Carraba's after pictures and had a yummy very late dinner. We called ahead..but with homecoming and the BYU game...it was crowded! The food as always was delicious!

Our Fearless Leader

Jenny... thanks so much for getting our family pictures done! We have waited soooo long and I am so excited to have this done! You are amazing and so willing to share your talents with your family! We love YOU! Can't wait to hang up our new "portrait"!

These are my favorite pictures of the day...with my camera... (not great...but passable).

I said... "pose for me" this is what they came up with! Crazy little guys!

This is McKay...our oldest and "Strongest" grandson! What a stud!

Notice....Hal and I are looking at the camera.... But NOT ONE KID is looking at it! Click on the picture and check out the goofy and funny faces! These kids are the best! Isn't it great that there is so much individuality? I love these kids! They are all so precious and adorable. What a lucky Granny and Pa!

How do they know?

One of the most precious things about little toddlers...is their ability to recognize pictures of the Savior! I have loved watching all of our grandbabies at some time or other recognize His picture and then want to kiss them! Mason came to visit today and sure enough he was in the living room and found a beautiful collage picture Barb made for me and just kept kissing it! He kept saying JeJe... He knows Him! He is so adorable!

Let's Make Bread!

It was stormy and a bit chilly this morning... Jenny went to the temple...so I decided to make some bread with Trey and Mason! Trey was the "chef" and did a great job! We ground the wheat and he added all the ingredients. Then we whipped up the bread in the mixer! He made 4 tiny loaves to take home to his brothers... and 4 big loaves for us to eat for lunch with some homemade chicken noodle soup! It was delicious and so fun!! Good job Trey!

Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day started out really cold and stormy! We had hail and wind and rain! It was so stormy I was sure we would be homebound all day! It made me sad realizing that summer is almost over!(Snow up on Timp) Lizzy and Dallas came up for the weekend and everyone else was off on some other adventures...so we opened up Grandma's kitchen and fixed a yummy French toast breakfast and invited Jen and Nate and the boys over. Then they invited us to go the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. We haven't been before and it was so much fun! Hal was in heaven with all of those creatures! I wasn't sure we were going to get him out of there. He had to check out every exhibit and he really loved it! I think he should have been a palentologist or at least an archeologist! Here are some pictures of the day!

Labor Day weekend is always a fun time! Friday Jenny, Angie, Teresa McClellan and I headed up to Swiss Day's in Midway! The crowds were unbelievable! You would never know that the economy is bad with the way people were shopping up there! It is always fun to see the "newest creations". We met Amy and her friend Lish up there and we shopped til we dropped! We had a yummy lunch and made it home before the kids got home from school. It was a fun day! Then on Saturday Lizzy and Dal came up and we grabbed Angie and Matt and Sadie and went up again! The crowds were a bit smaller and parking was much easier. The food was still delicious and we found a few "must haves". We came home and watched the first BYU game at Matt and Angies! It was a fun day too!

Why Buy TOYS?

We were watching the BYU game at Matt's and I went out to check on the kids.... Look what I found? I said "What are you guys doing?" They said they "decided to rip up newspaper because we don't need it!" They had the time of their lives! They crack me up! Much to their credit...it was all cleaned up slick as a whistle... I am buying newpaper for Christmas!

Look at this mess...

Way too much fun!

Oh... I'm so glad I don't have to pick it up!

Back To School?

These kids love to shop! Abby said "Granny...can we go to all the stores I want to?" (Becca is in trouble)! Fun kids!
