What's Geocaching?????

Nate had knee surgery last week! I got to have the boys while they went to Park City! We decided to have adventure so we did!
Oakley learned about Geocaching at a Scout Merit Badge conference at BYU...so he told me about it and I got on line and researched it and found out it was like a really fun treasure hunt! So off we went! The website gives you GPS coordinates and you follow them until you reach the cache! I just happened to know where Haun's Rock was...so we went there and they started searching! Sure enough there was a cache and we found it!

Haun's Rock

Oakley pulling out the 'treasure'! So exciting!

Opening it up! Look at Preston's mouth! He is in total awe!

Here is the cache! Some toys! We didn't have anything to exchange... so we just put it back and
signed the log!

It was really cool to see how many people had found this geocache and signed the log! The boys were really excited to each sign!

Trey putting it back!

Then there was one at the Lindon Park...new tunnel...but we couldn't find that one!

Then we ran home to get Grandpa off to work and found some pumpkins down the street! We stopped to get some!

Then we headed up to the Hollow! Sure enough we followed the clues and found another one!

Just a log to sign this time...but the kids were thrilled!

Then up to another park in Lindon! Sure enough one more!

By that time we were HUNGRY! So we went over to Sammy's and had shakes and hamburgers! FUN DAY! Love these BOYS!
It was such a fun day! We can't wait to go again! Who knew that people have hidden things all over the world...and they are just waiting to be found! Cool!
