I'm Officially OLD!

My darling kids planned an awesome 60th Birthday Surprise for me this year! I don't think I've ever had a really true surprise party! It was so fun! Amy and Brett came to take us to dinner for my birthday and then when we got to the car Amy blindfolded me and then I started to get a bit stressed-wondering what they had planned...( that was my first thought that this might not be a normal "go out to dinner" night.) They drove and drove and ended back at our church! They walked me in and I was really freaking out a bit at that point. They pushed me through the door and pulled off the blindfold and then I opened my eyes and there were so many people there I was a bit shocked and I really didn't know what to do! Then I saw my darling grand kids so excited to surprise me and then I realized this was going to be a really FUN night!

Coming through the door... I was so shocked I think I just covered my eyes!

Then there are the kids... how I love these little kids!

They were so excited! I can't believe that not one of them spilled the beans!

Look how darling the decorations were! Becca sewed everyone of those crepe paper ruffles on her sewing machine! I know it took hours! And then the cupcakes! They must have baked for days! Every possible kind you could imagine! Then my favorite treats and candy and POPCORN! What a darling table! I couldn't believe it! They are all so amazing! Amy ~Jenny ~Angie~Becca and Lizzy... what a surprise! You are the most creative ladies I know!
Then they had invited people that I have loved...some my whole life! Darling invitations too....and people came! That was such an honor to think that these wonderful people would take their time to come and celebrate with me! What a blessing!

This is my Parowan Mitchell family! Doug and Kathy and Clark and Mary ! I have loved these wonderful people all my life. Clark claims me as his little sister. I used to live with his parents in Parowan in the summers when my Grandma traveled. When he and Mary got married they tried to adopt me. He is really my birth mother's cousin. Such a great family!

President's Day and a fun Lunch!

Taking a picture of kids...is a total crack up! I tried 9 times to get them to just all look at me together!
They all have their own agenda... Preston thought it was Too Bright... Abby was showing us her chopsticks and menu..When Hal finally jumped in Brigham immediately sat down..like Grandpa..then all the kids sat on him... Mason loves Brigham.... So funny! Needless to say I LOVE these little kids! President's Day was so fun with all of you!

Lindon Legends Luncheon

My dear friend Diane...continued our tradition of a luncheon for all of us "oldies" in Lindon! I think most of us have been here in the same ward for over 25 years! We've been here almost 33 years! I love these ladies so much! We were missing about 10 others that couldn't come! It was so fun to visit and catch up with each other! When we started reminiscing it was so fun! Lots of great memories!

This year we decided to step it up a bit...and make Love Monster's...way more fun that old boring hearts! The kids had a blast and were so creative! Really fun day!

Here is our adorable little champ! He is 6 weeks now! Angie posted this picture on Facebook and I swiped it! Sorry Ang! He is growing so well! He is adorable as you can see... We love you Maxwell! Now I need an updated picture of his two cousins!

Phantom of the Opera

Pleasant Grove High School presented the most beautiful Phantom of the Opera that I have seen! It was like seeing it on Broadway...but even better! It was absolutely amazing! Ryan and I went on Monday night last week and it was so wonderful that I bought tickets for last night again! Hal and I took Oaks, Preston, Trey and Mason with us! It was once again an amazing production! Jenny told the kids the story so that they understood what was happening. They enjoyed it as much as Hal and I did. At the end as they were having the curtain call I looked over at Hal with tears running down my face and looked at him... I said "are you crying too?" and he nodded his head! I can't express how amazing it really was. Two weeks of performances and sold out every night! The most wonderful part were the high school kids with voices that were unbelievable... Live orchestra and music that you couldn't believe! Way to go Stewart Shelley -my dear friend and Pleasant Grove High! You made all of us so proud!!
