Pickleville Playhouse!

What a great time we had at Bear Lake's Pickleville Playhouse! We enjoyed every single minute of the evening! It was an old time melodrama...with a character strangely like "Nacho Libra....but a Mexican Villain! He was hilarious! His name was "Juanito Bandido". He was worth the price of the show! He needs to be on Saturday Night Live! What a riot he was! We would highly recommend it to anyone. It would be worth the drive up to Bear Lake! On Sunday morning we ran into him at church... the little kids were thrilled and although they couldn't get his name right...they were all excited to see him! We sure enjoyed it!

Here is everyone waiting for the show to start!

The kids loved every minute - they didn't want to leave!

Amy found herself a new guy! Juanito Bandido!

Family Time Is Treasured Time!

This year for our Family Reunion... we went to Bear Lake! What a beautiful place! Amy and Brett shared their "Winterberry Cottage" with us and we enjoyed every minute of being together! We had such a great time! They are close to the beach...so we spent just about every waking minute down there waking boarding, tubing and just relaxing! The water was really refreshing and shallow for the kids quite a way out.... Brett would bring the boat in and pick everyone up and head out again! Thanks so much for the wonderful time Brett and Amy! You are the perfect hosts! We loved being together and enjoying each other's company! What a fun way to spend the holiday!

Miss Utah Week

One of my guilty pleasures is working with the Miss Pleasant Grove Pageant. I love the program and the growth our young women have throughout the process of preparing to compete. This year has been so fun to work with Whitney and help with her preparation for Miss Utah This past week has been so exciting and out of 50 incredibly talented and beautiful contestants ... Whitney was named 1st runner up. She was a fraction away from being Miss Utah! Her piano piece was amazing and the audience went crazy when she was done! Her on-stage question was so inspiring and she was beautiful on stage. I always knew she was special...but this week Utah found out! What a joy it has been to work with her in her preparation and to see her achieve her goals! Thanks Whit for representing Pleasant Grove so well! We love YOU!!
Here are some pictures of the week.

HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEETHEART!

What a fun surprise we pulled on Hal! The kids told him that they were going to take him to dinner for his birthday and when we showed up at the park for a huge party he was Shocked! It was so great to actually pull it off and surprise him! Matt's band came to perform and to "reprise" the old band Hal was in durning his high school years! "The Pack"! Kelly Cook an old band member was there and brought his old guitar! Jody McClellan the sax player was also there. They all got together and played "Satisfaction".... It was Awesome!
A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT CAME TO MAKE THIS SO SPECIAL FOR HAL!
Mac and Janel my brother and sister in law from California came to surprise him! He walked around seeing people and it was such a fun surprise each time he saw someone new!
A quick thanks to all of our kids and grandkids! You are the best kids any mom could ever have asked for!! We are so blessed to have each of you! THANKS for all of your hard work and help in getting helping this party to be so successful! Each of you played a special part!

Strawberry Day's Parade!

What a beautiful day for a Parade! This is one of my favorite things in the whole year! I love the feelings of patriotism and community that this event inspires! I love watching the little kids faces and seeing them hold their ears when all the sirens are coming! I have loved parades since I was a young child and I still do!

I love having all the kids and grandkids around! Thanks for being there! You are the best family in the world and you are all perfect for me!

Children's Parade

I wanted to go to the Children's Parade to take pictures of my girls... and Abby was the only taker! She came with me in her crown of course. (It is Strawberry Day's after all). She was so excited when she saw Staci walking with the kids in the parade... Staci grabbed her and off they went. Abby was in heaven! "I wuv Staci" She stayed right with her handing out popsicles to all the kids in the parade. Thanks Staci for making it so special for her!

Grandma Day at the Park!
What a fun day with the kids! Angie went to pick up the Miller boys and Kenedee and Cache came out. Preston said that they were coming and so she loaded them all in. In a while we started getting panic phone calls from Jenny... then Becca and Lizzy. We realized they were coming but not "with" us! That caused a bit of excitement! We sure loved having them! Thanks Kyle and Belle! Next time we will ask you first!
It was a hot morning... but so much fun! Thanks to Angie and Lizzy for helping me! I couldn't have done it without you!
The kids loved all the activities...donut walk, pony rides, fish pond and face painting. Lots of balloons and fun! Wendy's just hit the spot on the way home!
Thanks for coming with me! I sure love you all!

Strawberry Days Is Here!

"Everyone Comes Home For Strawberry Days!"
What a fun family tradition! We have been going for 30 years! As I look back on all of our family movies...We didn't have much money back then...but we always managed to find enough money to buy the film and record this wonderful event!! I love to look back and see the kids when they were so tiny marching in the children's parade and riding all the rides! Now we are starting over with beautiful grandkids and it is such a joy to see this tradition continue! Come join us if you can! It is such a fun family occasion!

Family Home Evening in the Garden!

How fun for us tonight! Some of our kids showed up at the house tonight for Family Home Evening - ready to plant the garden! It was so fun to watch everyone go to work together... the little kids helped and worked (and played)hard! Oakley was a real champ! He hauled water from the stream to water the plants with until Matt hooked up the hose for us! He must have run from the garden to the stream 30 times! Becca and Levi and Heather put together a yummy dinner and we all really enjoyed it! We planted about 36 tomato plants and spaghetti squash and lots of zucchini and yellow squash! We can hardly wait for it to get growing! Hopefully the weather is going to start being good...it has been so cold and rainy! Imagine turning on the fireplace in June? Who does that? (just twice... but it was chilly in the morning!)
It's so great to have a family! We love you all so much and appreciate all that you do for us!
We feel very blessed to have the family we do!
Thanks to all of you!
