Lindon Days

Last night after the game... Jen's boys came home with us and had a "sleep" over...(sleep? yeah right!) Then early this morning we got up and went up to Lindon Park for the annual Lindon Day's breakfast! Such a fun morning! The kids explored the new Heritage Trail under State street and found lots of things to climb on! Then we went up to Main Street and found a place on the parade route! Anyone that knows me - should know how much I love a parade. (I usually have to bribe someone into coming with me) We have been coming to this parade since our kids were little...but today was my favorite of all times! It just seemed that many of the things that are so important to me came together for a brief moment and made my heart swell. It started off with the new Lindon Police Dept carrying the American Flag and then continued on with one of the Lindon Stakes with all of their scouts, cub scouts and leaders in their uniforms carrying the US Flag. It was so beautiful! Nothing makes me more grateful and proud than to see that beautiful flag! Then the mayor and city council (people we love) Pleasant Grove High School band....my beautiful Whitney as Miss Utah...(one of my former Little Miss Lindon's) - my Miss Pleasant Grove girls this year and lots of friends. It was a wonderful parade. It made me so proud to be in this little community that has pride and love for the city and for each other! It was so fun to see old friends and get a quick hug! I love having kids with me... of course! They all got an ice cream bar from our dear friend Nick Harris and so much candy they could hardly carry it all! It was a wonderful morning and after all the parades I have been to this year... This one in the smallest town of all was the very BEST! I love living in Lindon!
