Halloween 2008
I am almost afraid to post most of the pictures from the other night! I didn't know we could all look sooooo AWFUL! When I said Hillbillies and Rednecks... I had no idea what would show up! We were honored to have John McCain come and surprised that K Fed and Britney showed up... A varied assortment of strange people came... My son Matt in particular. Also some polygamists from Cedar City... yikes! Mulllets were EVERYWHERE! Father and Son... Husband Wife! EVERYONE had one! There are more pictures to come... !
Enjoy the pics...they are frightening to say the least.
Brett and Amy's crew.... Beauties and the beasts
My beautiful Taylor ~ Megan and Annika
Grandma's Halloween Brew!
Kaylie and McKay
Amy and Brett...check out those nice lookin' EYEBROWS!
This is why we do this party!
Here we are with our Nascar daughter! To think that Hal used to not dress up.... where are those days?
Ryan ~ Brett ~ Nate..... Good grief!
John McCain and his "Blind and Deaf Ref"
Grandpa and Grandma... They got all dressed up for the occasion!
Our beautiful niece Sunny and her kids! When I said dress up...I don't think she had a clue about how into it our family gets!
Pregnant Brittney and K Fed...with the kids! (she's smoking paper!)
Summer has a "thing" for Hunter! She hung with him all night! He was so darling to her! Everyone loves Hunter!
These parents should be so proud of their sons! However... I am a bit scared to even be related!
Since we sent Lizzy and Dallas off to Cedar.... well you know!
I hope that Halloween...doesn't bring out our hidden desires of what we wish we looked like!!
Taylor and Megan- 2 peas in a pod!
My niece Katelyn and her hot hubby Tyler!
My little guys!...Missing Oakley...he is out somewhere catching a football I think!
Heather and Monica... Heather is Britney...Monica is not pregnant! (Yeah right!)
The Ref and McCain's lovely group of children!

Grandma's Mountain!

Today while we were driving to McDonalds...Jaxson looked up at G Mountain and said "Grandma...does that G stand for Grandma?".... I thought that was the sweetest thing I had ever heard! (I actually got a few tears). I guess we don't always realize that these little kids think we are actually pretty special! I felt awfully special to think that he thought that was My mountain! Wow a mountain named for Grandma! Yes Jaxson...that does stand for Grandma. I am sure of it!
Jaxson and Benny came to play!
What a fun day today was with Benny and Jaxson! They came down to stay with us while the rest of the family went to the BYU game! We had a great time! We went to McDonalds and had lunch and then they played and played! Thanks for coming guys! It sure was fun!
Two little buddies!
How adorable are they! That giggle was just as priceless as it looks!

UEA...APPLES, CARAMEL and KIDS!

What a fun afternoon! We heated up the caramel and dipped those apples....and then everyone got into the act decorating their apples! We had sprinkles and butterfinger bars, chocolate chips and white chocolate! When they were done- They were FABULOUS! The best part was all the caramel left on the wax paper! Everyone got in to tasting that! Fall is such a great time for TREATS! This one proved to be one of the very BEST!
THE DEER HUNT!

While the guys are away...the girls will play! Lizzy and Dallas came to stay with me while Hal and the boys went hunting! Since we all got left behind... we decided to go out to brunch at Mimi's and then shopping for the rest of the day! We found a fun new toy store and as you can see Angie, Sadie and Lizzy made themselves right at home! Heather and her sister headed for the mall and so we went to SLC for a fun adventure at Hobby Lobby and then Taipan Trading! I have the best daughters and daughter in laws in the world! Thanks for hanging out with me Angie and Heather and thanks Lizzy and Dal for coming up! It was a really fun weekend!

All Is Safely Gathered In
What a blessing it is to be able to have food to bottle. As a new wife I learned to can from my mother in law. She taught me all the little tips and helped me a few times. Now it has become second nature. Every year we plan our summer around the garden and canning. I love to see the bottles all lined up on the counter when I am done. It makes me feel so productive and blessed to have the opportunity to have yummy food for the winter. We do corn, peaches, pears, applesauce, apricots and all different kinds of jam. It is so awesome to see them all lined up on the shelves when I am done. There is nothing like grabbing a bottle of tomatoes and making a yummy spaghetti sauce for dinner!

To the Horsley Crew!
Just a quick THANKS to all the Horsley kids! You are the BEST! Thanks for being so good to Grandpa and I! We sure do love you!
Benny you are a great kid! I sure had fun going out to lunch and shopping with you! I can't believe you could help Grandma find those tablecloths in Hobby Lobby! You have such a great memory! I can't play the Memory Game with you anymore.... You kicked my butt once too often! A 4 year old shouldn't do that to an old granny!
Jaxson you are such a snuggle bug! I can't believe you are such a good artist! You did such a great job on your tray! You were so patient and spent such a long time making your castle just perfect! It was beautiful when you were done! The most creative castle I have ever seen! I loved the moat and especially the alligators. I love looking at your class blog! I will check it everyday and see what's new!
Hunter...You are so great! You are such a nice kid to be with! We loved getting to spend time with you for your birthday! I couldn't believe how you munched those ribs! Thanks for spending time with Grandpa and I... It was such a fun day! I hope you will love playing your game!
Taylor! You are truly the beauty of the family! I loved getting to hang out with you and Macayle! You are so sweet and thoughtful! I loved that you would just find things to do to help me without being asked! I sure love that you still call me Granny! That fireside was wonderful! Be sure to build your castle every day!
Mckay! What a kid you are! You are turning in to quite the "driver"! I want you to know that is the first time I haven't been a bit crazy when a "kid" was driving! (ask your mom)! I loved helping you with your paper. Thanks for asking! Hope we get a decent grade! I also loved watching you pass the sacrament! That was really special for me!
Thanks Horsley kids for making the week so fun! You are all so precious to Grandpa and I and we sure love each of you ...more than you will ever know! Can't wait to see you all at the Halloween Party! Love you soooo MUCH! Grandma Terry

Happy Birthday Hunter!

Hunter decided to wait for us to come up to celebrate his birthday... We loved every minute of being with him. He is such a great kid and so fun to be with! We got him a new game at Walmart and then went out to lunch at his favorite place. He and Grandpa devoured a rack of ribs and I think Hunt was still hungry! ( just kidding...but give him an hour) Hunter we love you so much and we are so proud of you! You are a great young man and you are doing great things in your life! Happy 11th Birthday! We love you!
Taylor and Macayle!
Such a lucky Granny! I got to hang out with my beautiful Taylor Anne and her best friend Macayle! We had such a great time! They kept me laughing all day! They are just blossoming into the most adorable young ladies! I love Miss Taylor and I am so proud of her and the way she is growing up! She is something else! Amy you are a very lucky and blessed mom to have such great kids!
While Benny was in Pre-school we went SHOPPING and to LUNCH! We ate a such a yummy place! Sweetly Divine! We had a yummy turkey sandwich with jalapeno jelly on them! I have never tasted it before and was a bit aprehensive! It delicious! Wow! Then on to the mall and we did a bit of shopping also we found an old type photo machine! ! That evening they presented a great fashion show and I only wish you could have seen the aftermath in Tay's bedroom. Click on the collage and you can see the pictures bigger! It was so great!

Making Desks with the Horsley Crew!

The kids had a great time painting their desks. They worked really hard and took their time. Jaxson worked for hours on his. His is a castle with a moat and alligators in the moat. It was pretty creative! Hunters was a BYU theme and Benny's was a "lot of things!"
Taylor worked on a couple of baskets to hold her makeup and hair stuff! Great job kids! I sure had fun with all of you!
My Favorite Picture!
You know when your kids are little and they are beating the crap out of each other. You just pray that when they grow up they will be best friends... Well they are and I love them both soooo much! What a lucky mom I am to have two such adorable sons...and the very best part is they are such good men!

Conference Sunday at Grandpa and Grandma's
Conference Sunday is always fun! Our tradition is "Strawberries on Waffles with Ice cream! Delicious! We sure missed Amy and Brett and Becca and Levi and those beautiful kids!

Mason loves this tradition!

The desks were a HIT! The kids worked hard on their "Conference Workbooks" They were really reverent and the talks were amazing! Jenny emailed me a great workbook she gets each conference from her sister in law! It sure keeps the kids busy! Let me know if you would like a copy!

Here they are with their desks...

Making Desks for Conference!

It's always nice to have something to "take notes on" for conference. We found these cute desks at Michaels and some of the kids came over to decorate them. I was a bit nervous about "paint pens" in the hands of wee ones....but they were AWESOME! The kids decorated to their hearts content... and as you will see....there was a bit of a BYU theme going on. Great job kids! Can't wait to use them on Sunday! Hunter and Bennie and Jaxson...we will make yours next week when I come up! Start thinking of some fun ideas!
Look Mom ... No Training Wheels!
Trey kept begging his mom to take off the training wheels on his bike.. He was sure he could do it without them! Jenny kept telling him that it is really hard... but he persisted and so she took them off... and he took off down the road. He is just barely 4 years old! They put the bike in the car to bring it over to show us! Wow Trey! Great Job!!
Lunch with Sue and Ted
Sue and Ted Williams came up from Arizona for conference and we got together for lunch! It was so fun to see them and have a good visit. Sue was a good friend growing up in Denver and then came up to Ricks with me. We had lots of great times and she ended up becoming my sister in law. She and my brother had 5 beautiful kids and then their marriage ended. She has since married Ted Williams and he is really an awesome guy. They live in Arizona and have 13 kids and 35 grandkids between them! Sue seems really happy and looks great! We have a lot of history together and even though we don't see or talk to each other as often as we should...it seems like we can always pick up where we left off. The memories I have of high school andRicks College with her are awesome. We have been though a lot through the years and I love her so much! Her kids are so great too! Sunny her oldest daughter came to lunch with us... It is always great to see them!

Here we are at Los Hermanos. Sue's sister Cece is on the right and Sue is in the pink. Ted is behind her and Sunny is the blond on the left next to Jenny.

Two "Old Buddies"... I love you Sue!
